  • 🌐 Accessibility: ββββ˜†β˜†

  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: ββ˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

Garchomp, while a great Dragon AND Ground-Type attacker (and one with resistance to Rock and triple resistance to Electric) is very difficult to acquire for now. No nests, no events, very rare, very new. Gible are exceedingly rare in the wild. It’s likely he will someday get a community day however. With Level 35 Garchomp you need 4 players.

  • Alternative Fast Moves: Dragon Tail

  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: ββ˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

Chandelure is incredibly hard to get right now. It was released September 17th, and you can only get Litwick from 10k eggs! It is the new highest DPS Ghost AND Fire-Type. There was a Halloween quest and Spiritomb Special Research that rewarded one at least. With Level 35 Chandelure you need 4 players.

  • Best Estimator VS: Shadow Claw / Sludge Bomb
  • Best Ranking VS: Sucker Punch / Focus Blast
  • Type Interactions:
    • 2Γ— Resists: Fighting

Tyranitar

Best Moveset: Bite / Crunch

  • βš”οΈ Raw Damage: ββ˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†
  • πŸ›‘οΈ Survival/Bulk: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: βββββ˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: βββββ˜†

Accessibility will be a bit tough if you are only starting now as Larvitars do not nest and are rare. They are also in 10k eggs. Tier 4 Tyranitar Raids were a staple for quite a while, however. Larvitar can be found in ‘Make 3 Excellent Throws in a Row’ Quests. The family was last in raid bosses during Water Festival in Sept 2019. Larvitar community day (the only time you could get Smack Down) was June 2018. It isn’t the highest raw DPS Dark-Type anymore, but it has a ton of bulk on top of near optimal DPS. Weavile and Honchkrow trade with it depending on the matchup.
With Level 35 Tyranitar you need 4 players.

  • Best Estimator VS: Sucker Punch / Shadow Ball
  • Best Ranking VS: Shadow Claw / Shadow Ball

  • πŸ›‘οΈ Survival/Bulk: ββ˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†
  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Espeon Evolves from Eevee. You can evolve any Eevee into an Espeon immediately if you use a ONE TIME naming trick by naming it “Sakura” and using the normal evolution. Otherwise, you need to set Eevee as your Buddy and walk it 10k and receive 2 candies. Evolve it while it is still your buddy, with the GPS active during the day. Eevee is also just a decently common Pokemon in general, with even increased spawns in Partly Cloudy weather which is fairly common.

If all else fails, you can acquire a shiny Eevee from the “Jump Start” Special Research quest part 4/6. Eevee is also a quest reward for the “Evolve a Pokemon” Field Research quests. “A Ripple in Time” Special Research also rewards a normal Eevee in both part 3 and part 4. Eevee was also featured in the Field Research Rewards. Future Sight used to be the superior moveset, but after Psychic got buffed it is now superior. Eevee currently can be found in nests. With Level 35 Espeon you need 4 players.

Best Moveset: Mud Slap / Earthquake

  • βš”οΈ Raw Damage: ββ˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†
  • πŸ›‘οΈ Survival/Bulk: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: βββββ˜†

Rhyhorn is very common and boosted in the common Sunny, but Rhyperior is a Sinnoh Stone evolution Pokemon. Rhydon is a pretty good Ground-Type as well, so if you get a good moveset on it and don’t have the candy or stone to evolve, it’s not that bad. It’s also great as a Rock-Type attacker with different moves. Rhyhorn currently can be found in nests. With Level 35 Rhyperior you need 4 players.

  • Best Estimator VS: Sucker Punch / Shadow Ball
  • Best Ranking VS: Shadow Claw / Sludge Bomb

  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: ββββ˜†β˜†

Azelf is regional to the Americas region, it can spawn incredibly rarely around bodies of water in the wild. This family of legendaries are the only ones available in the wild to any degree. They have never been in Special Research. With Level 35 Azelf you need 4 players.

  • πŸ“‰ Consistency: ββββ˜†β˜†
  • 🌐 Accessibility: βββ˜†β˜†β˜†

Abra is boosted a ton during windy weather. Psychic sadly is no longer available on Alakazam (it is now superior to Future Sight). There are a lot of Psychic pokemon with Psychic as an attack, so Alakazam has a lot of competition for the “Second Best” Psychic-Type now. Abra currently can be found in nests. With Level 35 Alakazam you need 4 players.

  • Alternative Fast Moves: Psycho Cut
  • Alternative Charge Moves: Futuresight
  • Best Estimator VS: Sucker Punch / Sludge Bomb

Miscellaneous Analysis

Mega Gengar is a very challenging raid due to the charge move variety. If you are attempting to short man Mega Gengar, you may need to rejoin with proper counters by moveset. You can look into this sort of detail in the customizable Mega Gengar Raid Counters.Β  Mega Gengar will be extremely useful in upcoming psychic raids so make sure to stock up on rare candy.
