Advanced solo raid techniques

All off: the standard simulation

Manual techniques from the Solo Raid Archive glossary. Tick the ones you will actually execute and the fight is re-simulated with them; the link keeps your choices, so you can share it. All are off by default.

Solo Raid Archive explains every technique, with example clips.

Solo raid techniques are a subscriber feature. Subscribe to switch them on.

Swap in a tank to absorb a big boss charge move, then fire back a fast charge move with the energy gained.Learn more
Time the last fast-move tap just before casting so the charge move avoids the energy-resolve delay.Learn more
A 6.5-7 second rejoin that only uses potions to get back into the fight quickly.Learn more
Finish the boss with a short-animation or low-cost charge move.Learn more
Cast a small charge move when the boss's incoming charge move would overflow your energy.Learn more
A 5.5 second rejoin: swipe to the party and buffer the animation with a heal-bag tap on the way out.Learn more
Against 1-bar bosses, hold your charge move so the boss is forced into fast moves instead.Learn more
Two identical battle parties: every other rejoin is about 40% shorter.Learn more
Also in the archive, not simulated yet
These techniques are not modelled by the simulator yet, so they cannot be switched on.
  • Clean Exit: Leave and relobby during a boss charge move animation, wasting no energy or time.Learn more
  • Hot Swap: Switch to the next attacker as soon as the current one cannot reach another charge move.Learn more
  • Hotswap Chain: Catch tank from one attacker straight into the next when the boss casts charge moves back to back.Learn more
  • Charge Move Buffer: Buffer a charge move while swapping so the incoming attacker casts it immediately.Learn more
  • Trailing Catch Tank: A 6th Pokemon on cheap moves, kept to catch trailing charge moves just before a rejoin.Learn more
  • Double Catch Tank: One catch tank absorbs two charge moves on separate swaps, then fires one heavy charge move.Learn more
  • Substitute: From the 2nd cycle, your main attacker sits in slot 2 so you never rejoin into a lethal charge move.Learn more
